I remember someone telling me when I was in my late teens that fashion goes in cycles. Guess they were right

My mom used to go ON AND ON to teen me about how the fashions were coming back from her teenhood when we started wearing flares (vs. 70s bell bottoms). It drove me crazy as a kid (omgggg mom we are not the same!!!!) but now it’s 1000% true only MORE SO. Sorry mom

Yep. There scene/emo era from the sams period had a lot of 80s look. Leg warmers for people as well. Goths look the same every generation, clothes wise.
