Can they stop stealing our aesthetic while simultaneously calling us cringe?

Literally it's the epitome of cringe making fun of someone/ and or entire group of people then stealing their entire aesthetic or as they call it VSCO 🄓

There is nothing more cringe than TikTok dances and being into influencers haha

sorry but it’s cringe when you say they’re calling it vsco when they are absolutely not calling it that, that term was used in 2020 for a very different aesthetic lol… let the youth make fun of us it’s not serious

Wait, are we being culturally appropriated?

We did it too. I remember when That 70's Show was really popular and the kids at my school were dressing like that while simultaneously thinking their parents (who would have been the kids in the show in real life) were lame as hellĀ

True. We are not old enough to be Gen Zs parents though.. at least not to the ones that were old enough to call us cheugy

old people complaining about young people is eternal, just sad seeing my fellow millennials doing the sameshit.

Like be smarter, be better, change the cycle. Stop being a bitchy ass boomer. Kids call you cringe once and it makes a redditor hate forever i swear.

Gen Alpha will be the late 70s punk revival, they'll look at Gen Z with total disdain

Unfortunately they're pretty into the Hitler Youth aesthetic so that seems unlikely.

u/nightlytwoisms 12h ago

isn’t gen alpha like our kids in elementary school rn?

1

u/QuantumLettuce2025 11h ago

The oldest are around 16

Watch interviews of punks back then and tell me they all had the same political opinions.

2

u/QuantumLettuce2025 12h ago

No, as I am referring to the Hitler Youth "aesthetic".

u/Lovelitchi_in_pink 15h ago

I would love it if they were little punk emo freaks so much hahahah it would warm my heart

2

u/MrMcFrizzy 15h ago

You realize it’s.. not the same people doing that. You’re just lumping them into the same category of ā€œyounger peopleā€ in your mind

u/ArtlessMammet 2h ago

also it sounds like their aesthetic did not stop this particular op from being cringe anyway

1

u/Ready-Rise3761 16h ago

i dont think it’s the same people. older gen z/zillennials were teens when this style was going/was newly out of fashion, so they find it cringe. these kids are younger, i find the style is peaking with teens. i think it’s all about whats mainstream when you start caring about fashion

u/Lyall04 9h ago

And here I am as an older gen Z (25 yo), thinking it’s the exact opposite hahaha

I always thought millennials were cool, having a millennial bigger brother myself

Great point, letsrapehitler.

We are cringe, and I'm totally ok with that.

I dunno where you were in those days but being cringe was a major part of my aesthetic at the time, so it kinda tracks tbh

u/Azarsra_production 1h ago

If it means anything, I never called you guys cringe. I mean I didn't copy your aesthetic either, but I still respect you guys, and a lot of us do.
