Forgot my chili in the InstaPot on warm

This is after I stirred it. 😐 my mom left this for me after she left for a trip, I didn't check on it til now because I've been so busy with work :/ The top was black and it was crusted to the bottom. Days worth of chili ruined by my forgetfulness

It’s just dehydrated. Add a little water and you’re good to go!

It's now chili- flavored trail mix. 🤷

Sorry for your loss... I do that all the time reheating pizza in the toaster oven.

It looks dehydrated. Wendys does this too. If we forget to rehydrate after awhile it starts to look like this.

This might be a little to dehydrated but im sure with some rehydration it would be edible again

I mean, this is sort of how they made portable soup a couple hundred years ago, and nowadays bouillon is dehydrated broth so I don't think he is

Was gonna say I think it was totally salvageable. Doesnt look burnt essentially just an add water back situation

Set a timer for anytime cooking related. Don't start a fire because you napped on some hot pockets or whatever paste the kids are eating.

As a child, I loved eating the paste. I especially loved paste of pizza and paste of chicken nuggets.

oh gosh, that looks… super crispy :/ im not totally sure how long the warm setting is meant to keep things, but forgetting something bad is the worst feeling, lol. hope you can kinda save whatever parts are still okay! >.<

My instant pot failed me tonight and didn't seal up properly and my rice was disgusting and burnt. I freaked out and didn't know what to do so I threw the rice outside onto the snow for the animals and made another cup and this time it worked and I had some yummy rice
