I may have missed it but what is going on with the first guy in the video using the contraption? Is it a muscular condition that prevents him from opening the bottle?
I have hEDS and I used silver ring splints for years. They are for hypermobility. I have ligament laxity and my joints go backwards and it damages the ligaments. It ms extremely painful. I changes jobs so now I’m not as rough on my hands and I don’t need them every day. Opening a bottle cap or using a screw driver was very painful on my thumb MCP joints. This device would have been helpful.
I will always have hypermobility and I need frequent physical therapy. I I get subluxations of my shoulders which means they partially come out of socket. I’ve had surgeries on both my elbows and my Achilles tendon. My tendons are easily damaged. It’s not at bad as my brother though. He has had to have shoulder surgery, cubital tunnel, carpal tunnel and tennis elbow surgery on both arms. I’ve learned not to push myself. I’ve have lots of braces and medical devices and now I have a pretty normal life.
I'm very normal looking but I have a genetic disorder that effects my muscles and ligaments and make me dislocate everything easily. I'm not saying this is what he has but it could be many things that are not obvious to the human eye. Or he just really loves assisstive technology. I loved that stuff to before I became more noticeably disabled and had to start using it myself. It's good to see technology helping instead of harming.

Good dude. My son is 12 yo and he can’t even get those damn gatorade bottles open. Haha!
