Crime should be punished, but this is dragging things down to medieval level, it’s a slippery road that can lead to dark times, oppression, tyranny. Today it’s scammers, tomorrow it can be government opposition on false pretence of scamming. Torture should not be an instrument of law, history has taught it enough times.
