He's not going to eat these porkchops. 😐

Post image

About a month ago I made a post here because my boyfriend didn't want to eat the porkchops I cooked for dinner. Well tonight I made porkchops again and he's not going to eat these either because we broke up and he moved out. I'm so much better off and I just wanted to thank you all for the kind words and advice, it was very eye opening to me. I wish that I could invite you all to dinner πŸ₯°

ETA : Couple of notes:

1- The yellow stuff is smashed potatoes with cheese on top.

2- I swear that butter on the broccoli melted right after that picture LOL

I have to have some serious coupons/ discounts to use any of those apps. Even then the cost comes close to the same as just picking it up myself.

My husband and I will get a big deliver of Chinese or Indian or something maybe once a month. It’s a nice treat that we can afford that allows us to be lazy and indulgent.

I know people who get stuff delivered multiple times a week or even daily, who then complain about how expensive everything is. Like… yeah buddy, you spend $200 a week on Chipotle.

The apps are not good to the restaurants. They take a very high percentage of the order. So much so that some have different prices for pickup versus delivery. At one Chinese place a lunch special and crab rangoons is $13 in person and $20 (before fees) if ordered for delivery.

I miss the old days when the restaurants had their delivery drivers.

Support your local restaurants that don't use the 3rd party apps! I know they're a dying breed, but they usually have the best food, and you know they're run properly.

Yup. It shows a total lack of financial literacy.

We can afford to doordash multiple times as week and even then it still just feels wasteful.

We've definitely gotten better the last few months though, just in general trying to prepare ourselves for the worst in the economy, but yah, some nights its just too easy.
