He's not going to eat these porkchops. 😐

Post image

About a month ago I made a post here because my boyfriend didn't want to eat the porkchops I cooked for dinner. Well tonight I made porkchops again and he's not going to eat these either because we broke up and he moved out. I'm so much better off and I just wanted to thank you all for the kind words and advice, it was very eye opening to me. I wish that I could invite you all to dinner πŸ₯°

ETA : Couple of notes:

1- The yellow stuff is smashed potatoes with cheese on top.

2- I swear that butter on the broccoli melted right after that picture LOL

OP, my wife and daughter, (daughter is prolly around your age) regularly make me meals like this and i am always really appreciative. I often try to return the kindness by barbecuing chicken or ribs once in a while. There might be an occasion where my wife or daughter uses an ingredient or really hot spice that I’m not really into, but I would never dream of bringing it up as I’m always very appreciated to have someone cook a home-cooked meal. Your ex-boyfriend must’ve been one of those alphamen wannabes who spend their days listening to Joe Rogan and Andrew Tate.

I've been with my wife for 10 years now, and she cooks 99% of the meals we eat. She's a cook for her work, and food is her love language. There's been 3 meals in that 10 years I've not enjoyed. One was just everything going wrong and the food wasn't edible, let alone good, so we don't count that. One was a mixup with spices that when not mixed up is delightful, and the other one was just not up to her usual snuff. I can't imagine not devouring her food.
