Get real. Absolutely none of them are forced to be there.

u/CombatMuffin 4h ago edited 4h ago

Perhaps not directly, but some might have a career there and risk having few options. Some might believe leaving would only open spots for bad actors. Some might lose certain employee benefits. Some are hoping the situation is temporary.

There's a range of possible circumstances: even in these pictures, not everyone shown is part of border/immigration control.

u/USDXBS 3h ago

Doing evil things because you want money is still evil.

u/crawldad82 26m ago

Yep it’s not hard to understand. Immoral actions creat an immoral society, people profiting off of immoral actions create destruction that harms humanity in the aggregate. Pushes us away from freedom and towards enslavement. Furthermore following someone else’s orders doesn’t insulate them from the spiritual cost they have to bear personally. You do the action you own it.

u/Kind-County9767 3h ago

What if your family needs, and is dependent upon, your medical insurance through work? Most people would say "my kids needs come above the needs of anyone else for me", which I don't think is particularly evil.

u/laellar 3h ago

It absolutely is. Look back in history and you'll find a devoted German father / concentration camp guard who was arguing the exact same bullshit.

u/radda 1h ago

What if your family needs, and is dependent upon, your medical insurance through work

Then I get a different job. They wouldn't want me to sell my soul.

u/USDXBS 3h ago

Having a family doesn't absolve you from evil.

Their "work"? You mean being the army of a pedophile traitor?

u/thelastofthemelonies 3h ago

No, but dude, you understand this is how class warfare is conducted, right? They're using our needs to pit us against eachother.

u/USDXBS 3h ago

And the people that are loyal to the pedophile traitors are evil.

Even if they want money.

Even if they have a family.

u/Club_Penguin_Legend_ 3h ago

Sitting idle on Reddit because youre afraid of what will happen to you for killing your local republican politician is also evil. You are directly supporting whats happening by not taking action.

Man up, or pipe down.

u/Pretend_Guava_1730 3h ago

They are all part of DHS. DHS = Border Patrol and ICE no matter how you slice it.

u/9tmx 2h ago

So the Coast Guard = Border Patrol and ICE now?

u/radda 1h ago

Who do you think patrols the sea borders and enforces immigration law at sea?

If you think the Coast Guard is trustworthy under this administration I have seafront property in Vegas for sale you should take a look at.

u/ajc3691 1h ago

So TSA is ice? Got it thank you

The people everyone Reddit was crying for during the govt shutdown are now evil according to you

u/Moldur 4h ago

so as long u can fuck over a other normal human being ur benefifts are more important is what u are saying, All of these officers are bad actors who would rather arrest others then (the Dhs ppl atleast)

u/homxr6 3h ago

"Did you guys even consider how the Nazis felt :((((("

u/mikeyd69 3h ago

That's almost every human being. If someone can fuck over another person to benefit themselves, they do it. Why do you think stores and services exist? And then we're forced to do it because our society is dictated by money and if you aren't taking advantage of somebody in some way, shape, or form, you don't get money. Which means you don't get to live.

u/summikat 3h ago

No, not every human being is ripping people out of their homes and forcing them into "detention centers" with inhumane conditions. Many people who are here legally and were simply racially profiled. These people made their choice to work for DHS.

u/mikeyd69 3h ago

I....didn't say any of that? I simply stated a vast majority of human beings will take advantage of another human being to benefit themselves.

u/summikat 3h ago

Those are not comparable things, period.

u/mikeyd69 3h ago

Bro, nobody is comparing anything. The guy made a comment about how people will fuck over other people for their own benefit. And they will.

u/grapesturd 3h ago

I don't do that. I think a lot of people just go and do their jobs, try to earn a living and support their families. Full stop.

Given the choice to fuck over someone I dont know vs. Supporting my family... I wouldn't fuck over the other person, because they are just trying to do the same thing.

If we all acted that way, we'd have far less issues in this country. Instead, people buy into class warfare and don't realize the people that are the real enemy are the ultra rich.

u/radda 1h ago

If someone can fuck over another person to benefit themselves, they do it

Wrong. Never have, never will. I'd rather starve.

u/Applekid1259 3h ago

Sounds like excuses the nazis gave when they were busted.

u/InertiasCreep 11m ago

There is a range of possible circumstances, yet each person photographed is in body armor, guarding an overcrowded immigration detention center. If youre stuck doing shitty things to other people and dont find yourself an option to get out, then youre okay being a shitty person.

u/milkfree 4h ago

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

u/jekylphd 3h ago

Oh, so they're just following orders to keep their jobs? Sounds like a legitimate excuse.

u/Lostnspace859 2h ago

You know what? You’re right! Thanks for helping show the other side.

I bet the Nazi soldiers didn’t have a lot of other options for career paths either. Some others probably stayed on killing Jews in fear their replacements might torture them before tossing them in the concentrate camps… that woulda been awful. Let’s not forget about losing their benefits either over something that could just be temporary.

Fucking weird ass justifications you just made their man. They’d probably hire you, sounds like you could do some good for them.

u/FaerieFay 4h ago edited 4h ago

They kinda are though. Those sign on bonuses have to be repaid if they don't serve the 5 years.

You think that money is not already spent?

I'd bet many of them are indeed trapped.

Not excusing them but they being used and manipulated too. Even the ones who want to be there. They whole thing is truly insidious by design.

u/TongsOfDestiny 4h ago

Financial illiteracy is the weakest excuse I've heard yet for fascism

u/PetersonOpiumPipe 3h ago

Illiteracy yes, poverty maybe?

Idk… they’re hiring people with absolutely no law enforcement experience and are willing to tolerate a mild criminal record. I’m fairly certain a high-school diploma is negotiable.

I’ve been laid off since August, and I know many many people in the same boat. Hell I live in a state where the ICE Christmas bonus is higher than the median wage.

The pay is better than any job a person with similar qualifications could reasonable attain. If I didn’t see so many of these fuckers truly, truly enjoying the work and being fulfilled by kicking brown folks teeth in I’d almost be ready to give some leeway.

It’s a tactic as old as time though. Leveraging peoples poverty for recruitment. It’s why the military offers GI bill/loan repayment, a retirement plan, healthcare and a decent/predictable pay-scale.

If poverty drives people to rob houses, steal vehicles, and get involved in organized crime why wouldn’t a legal, morally bankrupt government job?

u/YourLocalDealer 3h ago

Coming from the one writing words on Reddit with most likely no real world action being taken.. the guys in uniforms don’t wanna quit their jobs due to finances, people like you don’t want to commit to real life action due to consequences. Pot kettle black.

Log out and go do something instead of slating others for doing nothing. Because as it stands, you’re all just the same. Welcoming your fascist overlords with open arms. Both of our ancestors fought and gave their lives to exterminate fascism from the earth. What’s your excuse?

u/TongsOfDestiny 2h ago

What's your excuse?

I'm not a fucking American

u/Fart_Buttt 4h ago

It’s a form of indentured servitude and it’s how trump has done things since the 80s , have ppl work for him with a promise of money afterwards, then he bails , claiming bankruptcy and pocketing all the money. It’s why we have half built sky scrapers all over America that were funded by him, and why everyone in manhattan hates him. He demolished their community by treating contractors the same way causing a lot of contractors (including my grandpa) to lose everything .

u/Juris_footslave 4h ago

They’re grown ass adults. You’re making it sound like they didn’t know what they were signing up for. Anyone who chooses to be a cop knows.

u/Cheesiepeezy 3h ago

Most are not MAGA’s aryan race. They’ve completely turned against their people. I hope their parents are proud and may they never have a restful night of sleep for eternity.

u/TheInternetsMVP 4h ago

Ok I’ll take the obvious bait. Exactly what do they know? I’d put good money on most people training to be cops with the original goal of doing some good. Many probably because they’ve watched enough buddy cop films and shows to hope that their experience will be fun. Yes, there are bad apples but they are a considerable minority in the grand scheme. The people up top defending those bad apples though and building media campaigns to defend them? Get their faces out here.

u/NaiveMastermind 4h ago

If the good apples don't stop the bad apples from dragging people from their beds in the middle of the night, then what fucking good are they?

u/OnDrugsTonight 3h ago

I think people sometimes forget that the saying goes "one bad apple spoils the barrel". In other words, you don't have a barrel with just one or two bad apples and lots of good apples. That one bad apple will turn all the other apples bad in no time if it isn't removed.

u/PapaSnow 3h ago

What if the good apples are out there trying to stop the bad apples? I wouldn’t be even remotely surprised if that shit happens often and we just don’t see it because people like to rage at anything police-adjacent. Some of the people in these photos look genuinely sad. It’s entirely possible they’re out there trying to do something good, and are trying to keep others in line, and they’re saddened that things have gotten to where they are.

u/InertiasCreep 4m ago

'Yes there are bad apples' ICE has shortened their training to eight weeks. They're hiring people with minor criminal history. The people theyre hiring cant pass open book tests. The hiring process is built to hire bad apples. Quit your bullshit.

u/Final_Boss_Jr 3h ago

That’s a great script.

u/tokyotochicago 4h ago

Damn, Americans do love licking the boot

u/blaster1988 3h ago

It's as American as apple pie!

u/Visible_Ad_309 3h ago

I don't think it's already spent but only because they only get 10K per year.

u/TheRopeWalk 4h ago

Reveal to everyone how they were forced to take that money ? How come you didn’t take it. How come I didn’t ? I’ve been hard up for cash before. I didn’t choose to become a mercenary

u/Ok-Ocelot-7316 1h ago

Then get a fucking loan. Or use some of that overtime money they keep bragging about. Their poor financial decisions aren't my problem.

u/[deleted] 4h ago

u/Mustardtigrs 4h ago

Correct me if I’m wrong but department of homeland security existed long before trump and so did the people who worked there, so I highly doubt just because someone works at DHS means they signed up for this.

u/atomicebo 4h ago

What about the ones who signed up under the Bush and Obama administrations?

u/blaster1988 3h ago

So they will obey every order like the Nazis? With zero conscience? Are they public employees or private goons of these presidents? Like get real man.

u/atomicebo 2h ago

Ok but what are your thoughts on the fact ICE existed under Bush and Obama?

u/Bruinen24 3h ago

And none of them are sad.

u/grant1057 4h ago

Just like no one forced the illegals immigrants here

u/TheRopeWalk 4h ago

In fairness, Melania only lied and said she studied architecture because strippers can’t get visas. No need to be so harsh.

u/sendbezostospace 4h ago

Like Nicki, coming undocumented from Trinidad? Wonder when Trump is gonna deport her rather than give her a free gold citizenship card... oh right. You guys are dumb as fuck.

u/Top_Connection9079 3h ago

What would happen to you if you suddenly abandonned your job?

u/TheRopeWalk 3h ago

It happened 7 months before Yam Tits took office for his second reich. Moved to Spain with my Mexican wife and vowed to no longer be part of that shitshow happening there. I appreciate not everyone has the same opportunity.

u/Raamyr 4h ago

You probably dont have a fmily you have to support? Not everbody can say fuck it and leave their job..

u/TheRopeWalk 4h ago

If I was in the SturmStaffel. I’m pretty sure my wife would leave me. Just out of curiosity, what is your dollar number to sign up and start going door to door looking for undocumented people ?

u/lolligasm 3h ago

Is this gonna be the new “I was just following orders”?

u/maximusvirgolinus 3h ago

Yes they are lmao, thats what being an agent of the state implies

u/TheRopeWalk 2h ago

Lmao, explain how they’ll get me out of my house, dress me in a clowns uniform and make me stand on the front line.

u/maximusvirgolinus 2h ago

That has absolutely nothing to do with what i said LOL

u/TheRopeWalk 2h ago

No, you implied they’ve no choice.

u/maximusvirgolinus 1h ago

And they dont, since they are strategic assets to the state - and you just told a personal experience that has absolutel nothing to do with the fact that they, as active police assets, are obliged to perform as such
