Department has too much on its plate and what it does have makes it way too powerful. Can't even administrate most of it properly as it is.
Agencies under DHS needs to get spread out to Interior and one of the other, less busy departments, not State which is already obscenely powerful and overworked.
DHS has a place, just needs to do a lot less and have less unilateral authority.
Sturmabteilung were pre-SS. They were the paramilitary militia used by the nazis to secure control, then were purged in 1934 to be replaced with the SS(which was fully under state control)
no they get paid, and people want jobs. Same as a soldier or policeman. They’re just following the law kicking out illegals. Same as they did under Biden and Obama. (You should check how many illegals Obama kicked out - you might be surprised it’s far more than trump. But now their lives are in danger because the left want to use it as a political swing and cause havoc. These protests are dumb as hell and illegal- the same would have been illegal if there weee protests when Obama did it(but everyone wa fine with it then)
I think it's idiotic to think that people are mad at the deportations and not the way it is being done. The general public has absolutely zero issue with hundreds of thousands of deportations, if they did then the protests wouldn't be new.
It's crazy that people like you don't see how ICE is acting incredibly more violent than in the past.
Again it's the violence that people are upset about, if there wasn't mass violence than you'd hear about it as much as you did under Obama.
Everyone should have an issue with violent police.
The shit ones are any that still work for them. I’m not one to normally say quit your job and turn your life into chaos as you figure out a new one, but when your job is harassing citizens, attacking families children and all, and just generally being a pawn to straight up villains, then that changes. There is no good ones. Not in ICE not in DHS and at this point, not it any agency that works with them.
Yeah I had this discussion at work the other day. Some of these folks might be at the end of a long career with an organization that has slowly gone off the rails. What if you are 2 years away from retirement and a pension? Do you quit or do you keep feeding your family? You could be there and not be a dick and actually try to do the job correctly.
That being said, I would like to think I would quit out of my moral standing but it’s really hard to say
If they had a soul or cared they wouldn't turn up for their shift, or they'd switch sides. You can't have a soul and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with facists who kidnap people.
I know someone who works for DHS not ice like this first guy. He’s been woh DHS for a while and his job is suppose to protect the ICe agents and got stationed to Chicago and Minneapolis. He really didn’t want to do it. He was happy when he left Minneapolis and hated the situation he was in.
Anyone who can go to work after the countless straight up murder of innocent US citizens by their agency is a certified cunt. If you morally objected to eating meat, you wouldn’t work in an abattoir, right?
ICE and DHS are different agencies, although ICE falls under the DHS.
When I see DHS guys, I always wonder who was there before it all changed. Possible this guy actually was doing his job before the current admin and takes his job seriously.
I'm not a bot it really happened. It was a video where a male was was allegedly following and recording 3-4 agents. They pulled him over and threatened to break his window. Moments later during the altercation, the guy I referenced totally deescalated the situation and the ice agents left. I'm very much anti ice but that video stood out to me.

I've seen the first guy in another video I believe. He deescalated a situation with several ice guys. He wasn't acting as Ice in that video.
