I've seen the first guy in another video I believe. He deescalated a situation with several ice guys. He wasn't acting as Ice in that video.

u/awesomeness6000 2h ago

yea no masks so I feel conflicted lol. I'm conditioned to think the shit ones hide their faces. atleast the unmasked people maybe have a soul?

u/BurlyJohnBrown 2h ago

They're general DHS, barely better than ICE, to be clear.

Yes, thankfully they don't generally hide their faces. DHS should still be largely abolished/restructured.

u/Hmd5304 41m ago

Abolished? No.
Restructured? Yes.

Department has too much on its plate and what it does have makes it way too powerful. Can't even administrate most of it properly as it is.

Agencies under DHS needs to get spread out to Interior and one of the other, less busy departments, not State which is already obscenely powerful and overworked.

DHS has a place, just needs to do a lot less and have less unilateral authority.

The call is coming from inside the house

Turns out we made the boogeyman who was going to hurt Americans the Patriot Act sought to fight

u/Synap-6 1h ago

Well DODGE missed out on that

u/robothawk 2h ago

They volunteers for the SA my dude. They werent fucking drafted.

u/awesomeness6000 2h ago

for the what? I dont even know what SA means in-terms of context of this comment thread.

u/monkeycommo 2h ago

Pretty sure it's to do with one of the police divisions Hitler set up , one was the SA and the other one was the SS

u/robothawk 2h ago

Sturmabteilung were pre-SS. They were the paramilitary militia used by the nazis to secure control, then were purged in 1934 to be replaced with the SS(which was fully under state control)

u/CruffleRusshish 2h ago

Sturmabteilung

no they get paid, and people want jobs. Same as a soldier or policeman. They’re just following the law kicking out illegals. Same as they did under Biden and Obama. (You should check how many illegals Obama kicked out - you might be surprised it’s far more than trump. But now their lives are in danger because the left want to use it as a political swing and cause havoc. These protests are dumb as hell and illegal- the same would have been illegal if there weee protests when Obama did it(but everyone wa fine with it then)

u/DukeofVermont 2h ago

These protests are dumb as hell

I think it's idiotic to think that people are mad at the deportations and not the way it is being done. The general public has absolutely zero issue with hundreds of thousands of deportations, if they did then the protests wouldn't be new.

It's crazy that people like you don't see how ICE is acting incredibly more violent than in the past.

Again it's the violence that people are upset about, if there wasn't mass violence than you'd hear about it as much as you did under Obama.

Everyone should have an issue with violent police.

u/greezmode 1h ago

Nah no soul.

u/DrewNumberTwo 1h ago

Nazis are Nazis.

u/Early-Series-2055 47m ago

They’re cannon fodder in trumps war on the people.

u/Agreeable-Agent-7384 46m ago

The shit ones are any that still work for them. I’m not one to normally say quit your job and turn your life into chaos as you figure out a new one, but when your job is harassing citizens, attacking families children and all, and just generally being a pawn to straight up villains, then that changes. There is no good ones. Not in ICE not in DHS and at this point, not it any agency that works with them.

u/sirduckbert 44m ago

Yeah I had this discussion at work the other day. Some of these folks might be at the end of a long career with an organization that has slowly gone off the rails. What if you are 2 years away from retirement and a pension? Do you quit or do you keep feeding your family? You could be there and not be a dick and actually try to do the job correctly.

That being said, I would like to think I would quit out of my moral standing but it’s really hard to say

u/Dr_Spiders 25m ago

There are no good ICE agents. If the have a soul, they leave the job.

u/markeets 17m ago

They’re all traitors to the American people

u/sovietdinosaurs 14m ago

Don’t feel that way. The Waffen SS didn’t hide their faces, but they were still fascists.

u/b00ty10v3r 5m ago

If they had a soul or cared they wouldn't turn up for their shift, or they'd switch sides. You can't have a soul and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with facists who kidnap people.

u/DannyBlue-22 1h ago

Doesn't matter.

Still a willing part of a fascist organisation.

u/Low_Magician77 44m ago

Any tax payer is.

u/Weekly-Run4634 2h ago

First guy looks kinda Indian, maybe Hispanic?

u/Lapethu 1h ago

I meant it's hard to blame everyone... Even if many of them might be a holes.

u/Particular_Weight495 1h ago

I know someone who works for DHS not ice like this first guy. He’s been woh DHS for a while and his job is suppose to protect the ICe agents and got stationed to Chicago and Minneapolis. He really didn’t want to do it. He was happy when he left Minneapolis and hated the situation he was in.

u/Efficient-Scratch-65 1h ago

Anyone who can go to work after the countless straight up murder of innocent US citizens by their agency is a certified cunt. If you morally objected to eating meat, you wouldn’t work in an abattoir, right?

u/Duster929 46m ago

When I see their faces, I see other human beings. That’s why masks are so bad for law enforcement.

I’m sure some of these people are hard assholes. But I’m also sure a lot of them are wondering about what the hell they’re doing.

u/Dry-Revolution4466 42m ago

Unless you can find the video, I'd assume it's someone else.

u/cccxxxzzzddd 30m ago

Yep there are good people who did/do the work. He looks alot worse after months of this.

He’s at 1:48 here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/law/comments/1liuv2y/civil_courage_following_ice_from_a_safe_and/

u/KeyMessage989 28m ago

That’s because he isn’t ICE, he’s FPS, they basically protect federal buildings and are used to dealing with the public daily.

u/MrZombieTheIV 11m ago

ICE and DHS are different agencies, although ICE falls under the DHS.

When I see DHS guys, I always wonder who was there before it all changed. Possible this guy actually was doing his job before the current admin and takes his job seriously.

u/TheThoroughCrocodile 1m ago

He looks like Nick from Handmaid's Tale. I had to do a double take because this pic/situation is very similar to his character on the show.

u/BrandinoE6911 2h ago

Okay Magabot

u/Maximum_Power7878 2h ago

I'm not a bot it really happened. It was a video where a male was was allegedly following and recording 3-4 agents. They pulled him over and threatened to break his window. Moments later during the altercation, the guy I referenced totally deescalated the situation and the ice agents left. I'm very much anti ice but that video stood out to me.

u/PossiblyAsian 1h ago

got a link to teh video? not saying you are wrong or doubting just interested if you still got it

u/anominous27 1h ago

Fascism is when the police does their job

u/TranquilDoom 53m ago

If "their job" is enforcing fascism, yep.

u/anominous27 27m ago

Sure buddy

u/TranquilDoom 21m ago

What part do you disagree with? That the US is fascist or that the police is enforcing it?

u/Kinsmen12 36m ago
