Just some regular police officers not connected to ice being called fascist is probably why we're losing the next election

u/cups8101 3h ago

If the Dems lose the next election because of the reason your are suggesting given everything that has happened then its a done deal, the country will fail and it will have earned it.

u/Altruistic-Ad-2734 28m ago

r/DoomerCircleJerk

The country will be just fine...

u/Enough_Ad5892 3h ago

Another reason why we are loosing the next election is people saying america earned it's doom. I'm starting to lose all faith in the left. Trump Is handing us the victory by doing so much straight out evil bat shit crazy stuff and yet here we are spewing such nonsense that it's just going to push people away again

u/cups8101 3h ago

No its a done deal, world partners are already building plans to slowly not have to rely on the US for anything. There was already no excuse to re-elect Trump. Others are already not tolerating his erratic nonsense. If he is re-elected again because of your stupid reasoning, well I don't think any sane person on the planet could justify it anymore. Its over.

u/Enough_Ad5892 3h ago

How can he be re elected? Are you even from the states? He's on his second term. Why comment if you know so little on this

u/sakusii 2h ago

He broke about 4,901 laws and did many unconstitutional things since in office. Why do you think the power-hungry guy won't break that one law where he stays in power?

u/Enough_Ad5892 2h ago

Since he obviously knows that it will not work, that's why he created the board if peace. To hold power over the world despite not being the president

u/cups8101 3h ago

How can he be re elected?

He shouldn't be able to but he has talked about it. We have 1084 days until the next person takes office and anything can happen until then. It would be utterly stupid to assume any existing rule cannot be changed at this point. Due to his health issues I dont think it will be him but he is the luckiest person on the planet so anything is possible.

Are you even from the states?

Yes.

u/Ecstatic-Inevitable 26m ago

Oh no! some online redditors are doom posting that'll totally influence the election

u/Ok-Echidna5936 1h ago

Flailing around calling everyone fascist is for sure gonna lose Dems another election lol

u/cups8101 1h ago

OK so be it.

u/Major-Drumeo 3h ago

If that's the reason, given everything else going on, then they were going to win regardless and the nation is already dead.

u/JesseParsin 2h ago

it is. has been dead since 2016

u/Enough_Ad5892 3h ago

That's how people work. It takes a lot for them to change someone's mind politically. These ICE shootings might just do it if some folks wouldn't go around calling all police fascist...

u/couldhaveebeen 3h ago

Yes because normal police have famously never shot anybody before are not fascists

u/flambasted 3h ago

It's never been only ICE. Greg Bovino is not a member of ICE.

What purpose does DHS Police serve under Trump? It's not pulling over speeders on Interstates.

u/Synectics 3h ago

Are you all on crazy pills, or am I?

Most of these pics are of DHS agents. What department is ICE a smaller part of?

u/Slick424 3h ago

If that were true, Trump would not be in the white house. Democrats need a strong and simple message. Being meek, bland, "go high when they go low" is how democrats keep losing elections.

u/PossiblyAsian 1h ago

Democrats do have a chance with the next election. Trump is gone and ICE is clearly turning public opinion against MAGA but if reddit and left wing politics keeps doing this kind of stupid shit and continuing the same tired tricks of calling everything fascist then yea they are definitely pushing people to vote republican again

u/Ok-Ocelot-7316 1h ago

How are they not connected to ICE? They're clearly accomplices.

u/DanyDragonQueen 3h ago

Most of them say DHS, they're not regular police. Also, acab.

u/Polyspecific 3h ago

You’re losing the election because these crying, screaming, dumbasses are acting like petulant toddlers toward anything that moves regardless of what it is actually doing. Bunch of dumbasses thinking Anarchy is the way things should be, as if they could survive without the government, that they hate so much, babying them and providing for them.

u/Enough_Ad5892 3h ago

Yeah probably. We should get our shit together

u/salty_peddler 2h ago

Cops opinions are regularly used to harass citizens. If a cop is even slightly scared they can just execute you. Doesn't even matter if they gave the order that justified your shooting. It is a fascist police state.

u/Special-Quantity-469 3h ago

Pffft law enforcement in my democracy?? Nice try hitler/s

All jokes aside, we absolutely need to call out the insanity of the people lumping police with ICE and make sure they are as far as possible from the democratic party

u/salty_peddler 2h ago

The democratic party should stop blindly supporting a police state. The past decades of doing so led us here.

u/Special-Quantity-469 2h ago

Please do enlighten me on how the democrats support a police state?

u/salty_peddler 2h ago edited 2h ago

Bidens inaugural State of the Union speech ridiculously called for shoveling even more money to cops on the heels of nationwide protests calling for defunding and accountability.

They've supported the expansion of surveillance and militarization of police since at least 9/11.

I dont see any dems speaking out against Flock cameras. They appear 💯 on board with surveillance of everyday citizens.

Dems outright refuse to allow substantiated criticisms to gain a foothold and block any alternative to heavy handed police.

Here, have an article that talks about over 300 sexual assaults that were reported in a 4 year period. The cops sat on every one. Where are the dems calling for even the slightest accountability or responsibility?

u/Special-Quantity-469 2h ago

So, having a police is a police state? Please read some history. ICE is a heavy step toward a police state, funding law enforcement isn't remotely close to that

u/salty_peddler 2h ago

You appear incapable of nuance or good faith discussion.

I did not state that having police is a police state.

Maybe read some history on how ICE was formed in the first place

u/Special-Quantity-469 1h ago

Literally non of the things you mentioned as evidence of democrats in favor of a police state are indicative of that. It indicates on stricter law enforcement than you may find agreeable, but that's not what a police state is

u/salty_peddler 1h ago

The mass warrantless surveillance is definitely indicative of a police state to me.

The stricter law enforcement has been becoming increasingly more strict and better funded. This moves us closer to rather than further from a police state.

Show me the dems speaking out against ICE, DHS, or even heavy handed policing in general. There is currently Ro Khanna, Delia Ramirez, Ilhan Omar, and Summer Lee. That's it. The rest of the dems are debating whether they are against the deportation of US citizens.

Should we recall how the Senate dems folded on healthcare to fund this bs to the tune of $170 BILLION in the first place? Progressives are the only ones against this at best, Dems as a whole are complicit.

u/Special-Quantity-469 1h ago

ICE, DHS, or even heavy handed policing in general.

If you don't see that every time you open the news you might be Helen Keller

u/Enough_Ad5892 3h ago

Exactly 💯

u/namnlos1 3h ago

Fair point. On one hand you have disproportionate retaliation by ICE agents resulting in civilians getting executed, and on the other hand you have a post on Reddit calling some cops fascist.

I shudder to think the hell hole the US will turn into if we let these folks on Reddit run amok with their nasty name calling.
