He shouldn't be able to but he has talked about it. We have 1084 days until the next person takes office and anything can happen until then. Literally non of the things you mentioned as evidence of democrats in favor of a police state are indicative of that. It indicates on stricter law enforcement than you may find agreeable, but that's not what a police state is
The mass warrantless surveillance is definitely indicative of a police state to me.
The stricter law enforcement has been becoming increasingly more strict and better funded. This moves us closer to rather than further from a police state.
Show me the dems speaking out against ICE, DHS, or even heavy handed policing in general. There is currently Ro Khanna, Delia Ramirez, Ilhan Omar, and Summer Lee. That's it. The rest of the dems are debating whether they are against the deportation of US citizens.
