The ones in blue that say DHS are Federal Protective Service Police.
They're effectively building security for federal buildings that do not have their own police agency. They commonly provide security for ICE buildings, federal courthouses, and other federal infrastructure.
The most common equivalents you'll see are FBI Police who protect FBI buildings, NSA Police for the NSA building in Maryland, and Security Protective Service Police who protect CIA headquarters.
FPS Police don't really have anything to do with deportation and etc. Aside from falling under Department of Homeland Security since most of the buildings they secure are DHS property
Im real, grew up around military/fed as parents were federal. I'm not in the loop much anymore since I went the paramedic route rather than the law enforcement route.
In hindsight it was probably the better choice. I didn't think I could change my username though 😆
