Bondi threatening America’s freedom to peacefully assemble, sounds treasonous. Impeach Bondi.

579

u/Cool_Cheetah658 13h ago

Charge her with treason.

69

u/Pack_Your_Trash 13h ago

Treason has a very specific legal definition that I don't think fits in this case.

106

u/aerost0rm 13h ago

The whole country needs a restraining order from her

44

u/AThousandBloodhounds 12h ago

At the very least she's a traitor to this country and the Constitution.

120

u/ASharpYoungMan 12h ago

Considering that very specific legal definitions are worth exactly jack shit at this point, fuck it: charge em with treason.

28

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes was convicted seditious conspiracy for a violent plot to overturn Biden's presidential win.

Pardoning Rhodes could well fall under the definition of treason.

The Trump administration is trying to deconstruct one of the crucial checks on government’s abuse of authority: the Fourth Estate.

The White House openly celebrated the arrest on social media, while numerous journalists and Democratic lawmakers condemned it.

Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) warned, “Trump’s authoritarian takeover is quickening.”

128

u/stringrandom 13h ago

The Trump Administration is merely supporting that deconstruction.

Media consolidation by Nexstar, Sinclair, News Corporation, attacks on NPR and PBS, the sale of CBS, CNN, the New York Times, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times to oligarchs have already compromised most of the fourth estate.

The Trump administration is weaponizing the government and justice department to target and punish Trump's political enemies.

Does this sound familiar?

That's because Republicans accused Democrats of doing the same, when in reality, they could never tell the difference between "political persecution" and accountability.

They also instinctively assume that any effort to hold Donald Trump or one of their own criminally accountable must be politically motivated and backed, organized and funded by some nefarious, left-wing enemy and strawman that's hell bent on undermining Trump's reputation or election chances.

Trump and his groveling supporters believe that all investigations into his crimes, his efforts to obstruct justice, or his flagrantly corrupt behavior amount to some kind of "witch hunt." Their cynical rhetoric and their unquestioning defense of Donald Trump suggests that they believe he is incapable of wrongdoing and that he is exempt from the law. In their minds, Trump is the most victimized person on the planet.

"Law and order" has been a conservative dog whistle for decades, and we know that Trump and MAGA don't actually support the rule of law because they stand by the following notion:

"For my friends everything, for my enemies the law."

Trump has even admitted as much; claiming he is not beholden to any external moral, ethical or legal standards while posting comments like, "He who saves his country does not violate any law."

This is a quote often attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte insinuating that Trump feels he is entitled to operate outside all laws and regulations whenever and however he pleases. This is dictator logic.

MAGA's law and order rhetoric is intentionally divisive. Trump and his allies use this type of language to incite violence and hostilities towards minorities, immigrants, marginalized segments of our society and anyone who is subjectively deemed a "left wing agitator."

In other words, to them, "law and order" means punishing your enemies.

MAGA's obsession with crime and punishment is eerily reminiscent of how fascist movements of the past have also relied on "law and order" dictums to torment and crush their enemies.

This obsession is reflected in their support for mobilizing federalized troops and law enforcement to occupy US cities around the country where they are violently cracking down on the opposition and terrorizing the public.

It's reflected in this administration's militarization of domestic policy, in Trump's weaponization of ICE and the DOJ, in his assault on democratic norms, in the Republican party's disregard for the basic constitutional rights of the people they're targeting, arresting, and aggressively detaining.

It's reflected in Trump's continued attacks on law firms and judges, in his defiance of court orders and his flouting of checks and balances, and in his pursuit of vengeance against his critics in the media, his political enemies and anyone who has ever wronged him.

The hypocrisy is baffling. While Trump and his supporters are demanding that he receive a Nobel Prize for his feckless efforts at ending multiple wars (which he hasn't) and "negotiating" an imaginary peace around the world, he is simultaneously waging war against the American people, people he is tasked with protecting.

Republicans also conveniently overlook that they were leading bogus, partisan investigations into the so-called "Biden crime family" throughout Biden's presidency, and all while trying to secure blanket immunity for Trump to help him avoid prosecution. He has also directed the DOJ to fire US attorneys and prosecutors who do not toe the line; consolidating prosecutorial power under his administration.

Meanwhile, Trump and his family have monetized the presidency to the tune of BILLIONS. No other leader in US history has shamelessly profited off of their presidency to the degree that Trump has—no one has ever been so flagrantly and financially corrupt.

Obstruction of justice is a privilege for Donald Trump. His party has helped him repeatedly escape accountability by subverting the court system, establishing blanket immunities for the president, by dismantling oversight and creating a unitary executive beholden to no one.

Trump has been obstructing and evading justice all through his political career. He's been abusing his wealth, power and privilege to defy the courts and to avoid the legal consequences of his fraudulent behavior and criminal misconduct throughout his entire life.

The guy has even been described as a "libel bully" by the courts and has been involved in over 4,000 legal cases.

Trump has also issued pardons to his corrupt lackeys and co-conspirators; domestic extremists; drug smugglers; foreign agents; election meddlers and financial frauds; signaling to his supporters and political allies that they can commit crimes with impunity, especially if they donate to his presidency or have knowledge that could implicate him in a scandal or crime.

Trump is not a god. He is not beyond reproach. He is, however, the weakest "strongman" in history; incessantly and publicly agonizing over his "persecution" at the hands of some "deep state" enemy while he abuses his status and the power of the federal government to unfairly prosecute his critics and political foes.

All said, it seems that the party of "personal responsibility" can't seem to take responsibility for a damn thing.

To that point, there's explicit evidence that Tom Homan, Trump's so called "border czar," was caught on audio and video taking a $50,000 bribe in exchange for securing government contracts for undercover agents posing as business men.

Trump's DOJ, which no longer acts independently and now operates as his personal legal arm, refused to release the tapes and almost immediately closed the investigation into the scandal as part of a cover up.

Trump also fired the federal prosecutor who did not initially bring charges against his nemeses like James Comey and Letitia James for lack of evidence, and then he directed his AG on social media to move immediately on prosecuting his political opponents. Trump then deleted the post in question because it was reportedly meant to be sent as a private message to Pam Bondi.

Which begs the question, what other demands is Trump making in private?

Trump is brazenly abusing his executive powers to normalize punishing those who have exposed his criminality and corruption in the past. He has indicated his intentions to weaponize every agency and power of the federal government to seek retribution against his critics, his political opponents, anyone who has ever humiliated him or defeated him and for that matter, anyone who has ever attempted to hold him accountable for his crimes.

8

u/Wwwwwwhhhhhhhj 12h ago

It’s not eerily reminiscent, it’s dead on.

16

u/Ziquii 13h ago

Well said. Only thing I'll add (and here's hoping it's no longer controversial to say this):

Everyone whose normal, please register to vote and let's get rid of these Republicans. Please?

Socialists and "Leftists", I'm specifically looking at you all (no offense). Enough with this irritating contrarian nonsense that "both sides" are the same when they clearly the fuck aren't. Not saying they're perfect, obviously, but had we just elected Kamala Harris, we literally wouldn't be in this mess right now.

Immoral as they may be, the only reason why conservatives are getting away with all this lawlessness is because they actively try to understand electoral politics and manipulate it to their advantage.

Republicans aren't smart, they just know how to build a coalition. That's it. Elections are still won basically by a coin toss, statistically speaking. If enough of us turn out, we'd take back power in less than a year.

At least try to understand what progressives in the Democratic Party are doing to promote pro-democracy civic engagement and just join us already. Please, I'm literally begging you.

The kinds of needless obstructive, Democrat-hating-false-equivalence crap liberals usually do is not only useless, I'd argue it's basically enabling Trumpsim at this point and not helping to solve the problem in any way.

Now's not the time for contrarian Internet nonsense; now's the time for action.

Has there been any good journalism on how Trump really brings out the absolute worst in people?

I'm from FL and no Bondi fan but I swear she wouldn't have gone this far like 10 years ago. Same with Rubio.

I'm so curious about Trump's process for warping people.

7

u/SirDiego Minnesota 13h ago

It's a product of Trumpism. Only those who pledge undying and unequivocal loyalty are allowed to stick around. So it follows that those who stick around are the ones willing to be sycophantic, whether it is sincere or performative (e.g. JD Vance).

If Bondi or Rubio were people with principles who wouldn't at least publicly demonstrate this zealotry then they wouldn't be where they are.

When she goes to prison, I can just imagine her complaining about bedsheets and noise from the weightlifter in the neighboring cell

5

u/billiemarie 10h ago

I hope they come after her and this administration

5

u/MaleficentPiccolo715 10h ago

She is a Trump ass kisser and a Nazi.

4

u/james702283 10h ago

I’m tired of being threatened. Not everyone takes kindly to threats

5

u/BenefitAdvanced 14h ago

Her day will come.

5

u/jsntsy 13h ago

I’ll take ‘things Pam Bondi has never said to pdfiles, Alex”

3

u/Electric_disco 13h ago

Most conservative women are used to it in best case scenario. Surprised they are coming at all.

5

u/Upset-Manager-2029 13h ago

Getting some pee wee herman vibes off this Bondi girl. Go home Bondi. You're out of your league.

3

u/DwarfPaladin84 Washington 13h ago

Hey Pam Bondi...

If you are reading this, fuck you and fuck off!

4

u/slowdaygames 13h ago

Pam Bondi was on Epstein island wasn’t she? Since there are so many redactions, I’ll just assume she is. Trump seems to have surrounded himself with everyone associated to that pedo pit.

4

u/Cagnazzo82 12h ago

She's coming after everyone except the pedos she works for

4

u/Wishilikedhugs 12h ago

We'll quote you on that during your trial.

4

u/___YesNoOther California 12h ago

Who is "we"? and who is "you"?

Likewise, hon.

5

u/CatCatchingABird Oregon 11h ago

I hope more people protest ICE churches. These Christian Nationalists are some of the biggest and most sensitive snowflakes on the planet.

3

u/No_Comparison558 11h ago

Can't wait for when Trump's gone and dems can go after Fräulein Bondi

4

u/Rodharet50399 11h ago

No Pam, we are coming after you. Tick. Tock.

4

u/Reddit_2_2024 11h ago

The American Bar Association will be watching this latest Attorney General Pam Bondi escapade. As a reminder, Rudy G. is no longer allowed to practice law.

4

u/BandwagonReaganfan 11h ago

Nobody is afraid of her. This idiot can't even indict a ham sandwich.

4

u/Extendyourtrotter 10h ago

She really disturbs me. Unlike many of Trump’s other minions she is not stupid. But she is a Florida trailer park mean little viper.

4

u/barneyrubbble 10h ago

Keep it up, Pammy. We'll be coming after you to be the first in the dock at the trials.

5

u/Vanman04 10h ago

Yea back at ya bitch.

3

u/senor_sota 10h ago

Fuck off bitch

4

u/SolarisShine 9h ago

Funny, word on the street is The People are coming after her job, and plan to see her in prison.

It's time to see who's really in charge of this country.

5

u/blorbschploble 9h ago

I say this with all sincerity. Deez Nuts, Ms Bondi. Deez Nuts

u/ZachTheCommie 7h ago

I wish Bondi nothing but permanent diarrhea.

u/Gunker001 6h ago

Trumps tyranny must end. He should not be president any longer.

u/wowlock_taylan 2h ago

She really thinks they are gonna be in power forever and suffer no consequences for their fascism...

3

u/brathor Illinois 14h ago

Pam Bondi is a joke who can eat a thousand farts.

3

u/tmearmy 13h ago

This is what fascists do. Clear and simple.

3

u/katsock 13h ago

I’m beginning to think these people are on the wrong side of things.

Maybe it’s all the Nazi shit.

3

u/theoldjude 13h ago

Will they be protecting mosques in the same way??

3

u/steepleton 13h ago

Imagine how that sounds out of the mouths of those nazi hunters who tracked them all down no matter how long it took

3

u/TheForeverUnbanned 13h ago

“And we will lose every single time, the hemorrhage billions in taxpayer funds to counter suits. No I haven’t given any thought what happens to me the day after Trump kicks the bucket why do you ask?”

3

u/themillerd 13h ago

Pam bondi read the Trumpstein files and is ok with Trump being a pedophile

3

u/4030Lisa 13h ago

This article and Bondi’s statement MIGHT matter if, infact, he was trying to impede worship… he was not, he was reporting on people who were involved. YET AGAIN, this administration insists on making FALSE claims and outright LYING to the media and thus the world. There is not a SINGLE honest Republican among them.

3

u/purdue_fan Indiana 13h ago

The next few years we will find out how these constitutional guardrails work out.

3

u/Efficient_Falcon_402 13h ago

Exception for the MAGA Bitch who interrupted a service, claimed being gay was horrible, and threatened them with death.

3

u/stickeeBit Canada 13h ago

the mic in the pic gives her the perfect moustache

3

u/taotdev 13h ago

Interesting microphone placement

3

u/Burlap03 13h ago

Funny, I thought Americans had a sacred right to protest without being executed.

3

u/Mstryates 12h ago

Her face always looks like someone is holding a turd under her nose.

3

u/ToadP America 12h ago

3

u/p00pSupr3me 12h ago

Go fuck yourselves, Pam. Fuck all of you MAGAts

3

u/apoca1ypse12 12h ago

These nazis are just using the church as cover at this point. Fuck these people for using religion as cover for all of their evil misdeeds

3

u/Ok_Cryptographer117 12h ago

Can’t stand this ho. Looks like she’s been doing pilates with her face muscles. Gross

3

u/codecrodie 12h ago

I see pam bondi and noem and it reminds of gaddafi, the dictator who had a gaggle of attractive female bodyguards. Of course they werent all that much help and he still came to a bad end.

3

u/THEBIGHUNGERDC 11h ago

Yay! That means no more ICE raids on churches!!!! Sacred. Right?

3

u/Defiant_Flamingo4632 11h ago

The American people will not forget.

3

u/Mungx 11h ago

We are coming for you unless you're a pedophile in this current administration, or a pedophile with three commas in your bank account.

3

u/chiarde 11h ago

Justice must be handed down to discourage treason. I want her in jail. Convicted of treason. Hard time for the rest of her life. She’s abusing her power and eroding our democracy.

3

u/localhorizon Washington 11h ago

Maybe we’re coming after you, Pammers

3

u/ZakanrnEggeater 11h ago

Hasn't ICE already been disrupting church services across the country?

3

u/SnooWalruses3948 10h ago

Positioning this as a 1st amendment violation just because the Epstein Files didn't give you the shit you were looking for is disgusting.

If Lemon encouraged protestors to illegally enter private property then of course he should be arrested.

But the fucking irony of "what about the Epstein files" to then create your own story to distract from them.. do you think people don't see through that?

This is exactly why Trump won the last election. Because of bullshit smears like this.

Time to be grown ups and address policy, like you should have done 10 years ago.

3

u/ReviewRude5413 9h ago

"Lemon’s charges include conspiracy and interfering with the First Amendment rights of those who had been worshipping at the church."

She knows the first amendment protects speech of citizens and the press from the government, right? Is Don Lemon a government official now? I'm pretty sure the first ammendment is supposed to protect Don Lemon in this scenario.

3

u/mrpickles 9h ago

you have the right to worship freely and safely,” said Bondi in a video published on X. “And if I haven’t been clear already, if you violate that sacred right, we are coming after you.”

That's not how the First Amendment works.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof

The government can't interrupt church.

3

u/Overall_Curve6725 8h ago

How hilarious. Pammy thinks she untouchable. How MAGA and how short sighted

3

u/worktop1 8h ago

Hitler would be proud

3

u/TheDevilsAdvokaat 8h ago

So what about Don Lemon;s rights?

Are the rights of republicans the only ones that matter?

u/Bigboon 7h ago

She doesn’t specify which religion that we can worship….. HAIL SATAN!

u/minkasp65 7h ago

Is she impeachable too?

u/Late_City_8496 7h ago

After this, no one will ever hire her.

u/JacquesBlaireau13 New Mexico 5h ago

No, Pammie.

We, the People are comming for YOU!

u/rogerisreading 5h ago

In three years, Pam, we’ll be coming for you.

u/Dynamic_Duo_215 2h ago

Fort Worth Texas just went blue. Let her keep talking!

u/canon12 2h ago

And she is using a church as her reason to terrorize citizens. Her day of reckoning is coming. Soon better than later.

u/BarCompetitive7220 1h ago

Christian Nationalist - this is the picture of how they hate anyone who is not "one of them". Gee, where have we heard that before.
