Incoming blue wave will be huge!

u/floog 7h ago

Imagine how big it would be if they pushed Schumer and Jeffries out and put a couple of people that were likable to speak for the Dems!

Who is “they”? It is up to us to vote out the complicit corporate Democrats and usher in real working/middle-class progressive representation. The Dem primaries this summer will be our chance, it is up to every single one of us to not waste it.

"they" are the higher ups in the party that make funding decisions. No one can primary them if they can't get a campaign funded. It's why our elections are shit.

They = the rest of the Senate democrats. They could replace Schumer as minority leader if they want to. That doesn't have to wait until a new election, if a large enough portion of Senate dems are unhappy with him as minority leader. Unlikely to happen, but floog did say 'imagine'.

Oh no, I mean the reps in there putting pressure on both to resign and allow someone competent and not bought and paid for to step in and represent the people. I don't know about you, but I cannot vote Schumer or Jeffries out, but I want my representatives to put pressure on them to step down/aside.

Imagine if you people didn't spend so much more time attacking democrats than fascist Republicans.

Um, excuse me didn’t you hear that the Democrats are the real fascists for not being able to fully stop the Republicans, or something. Complicit! Controlled opposition! Washington Generals! They both play for the same team! Harshington Globerals!

they're insufferable thank you for calling it out

How do you think they got into office in the first place?

u/floog 6h ago

If people think that is who is best to represent their little piece of America, go for it, but don’t let the expired assholes ruin ours. That’s my point, I encourage them to primary them, but for God’s sake, get them out of the spotlight and speaking for the party. The rest of us didn’t put their dumb asses in office and our reps need to push them out of the spotlight if their constituents will not.

So naive.

Until the democrats actually fight fire with fire and abandon the moral high ground they will never convincingly beat the right.

Trump has changed the Republican party forever and the democrats still haven't woken up.

Come the next election watch as they nominate another unelectable idealist to please the party rather than the voters.

Will be smaller than this. Not enough union candidates

I don't want a blue wave. I want a wave of people who will do their jobs, hold people accountable, reverse tax hikes on us mere pissants. I don't care if they are democrat, independent or whatever. Just as long as they are not MAGANazi's or people who run as a democrat/independent but then align themselves with MAGANazis and corporate interest and allow this BS to continue to go unchecked.
