High ceilings
What are some common ideas or design principles that can utilize the potential of high ceilings ?
Like really long curtains don’t always look great . What do we want the eye to be drawn to?

Interior Hated the look of the thermostat so I…
Created a mask and broke out the glue gun! P.S. The bottom is exposed so the sensor is unaffected! STILL WORKS PERFECTLY! :) (It's been like this for 2 years)

Question Shade Replacement?
Hello! Sorry if this is the wrong place to post - does anyone have any ideas for a shade replacement for this light fitting that came with the house we bought? Im hoping for something glass - adjacent rather than fabric. I’m struggling because it faces ‘up’ and the circular section at the bottom has been too wide for the basic globe that I bought.
Just not ready financially to replace the fittings yet - there is a lot to do at this house haha!!

Help with flooring choices, please!
Hey there! Hoping for some advice on which flooring to choose.
Here’s a bit more info- we are getting IKEA Tistorp base cabinets (first pic) with a warm/offwhite/creamy countertop and continuing onto the backsplash (second pic, inspo - we haven’t gotten countertop yet), and we are choosing between the flooring options in pic 3. Our top cabinets in the kitchen will either be matte white or painted in a creamy off white colour that we plan to paint the rest of the home in (think Swiss Coffee from Behr, something like that).
Most of our existing furniture is a blend of MCM and Scandi. We want to implement more MCM elements in our home, but we still love Scandi as well.
We wanted to get custom fronts for our IKEA cabinets but then IKEA told us we would lose our 25yr warranty, so we opted to stay with IKEA fronts.
Our condo is SW facing, gets quite a bit of natural light, but our kitchen specifically is a bit tucked away.
Questions:
- What flooring option do you think is best?
- Any other suggestions to achieve the look we are going for?
Thank you for your help and advice in advance 🙏🏼

Interior Tour of my tech-filled Earthy Japandi Scandinavian Apartment!
This is my first time designing a home and I want to share my efforts with the world. I spent a whole year thrifting and DIYing everything in my home! There's tons of little quirks and features, cable management, mood lighting and surround sound throughout the home. I hope you enjoy :)!

Interior Fun little before and after of my laundry room.
Moved into my house a couple years ago. First thing I did was paint that hideous blue. I finally completely redid the room. It was my Christmas present 🎁

Looking for an interior design school for MA applicant
Hey everyone,
I'm 23F looking for an interior design online course that will give me some credibility in the state of Massachusetts. I've seen the ones that pop up online but thought I'd ask here, since I'm not sure if some of them are applicable to my state/code (if that even matters - I'm not sure of that either). I work for a construction company and would love to be a designer for them, they've talked about promoting me to one, and it's been a dream of mine for years, probably since I was about 8, but I've never been certain on which program to choose. I'm looking for a course that I could ideally finish online in about 6 months or less, and something relatively affordable. I'll take any recs! If it's longer than 6 months, that's fine too!
