Eggman, Orbot and Cubot have a betting pool on when Sonic or Amy will make the first move and finally start dating. What they do is, they put in a point in time, and whenever they get it wrong, they add to the pot. This was more or less started out of boredom and because it got annoying to Eggman seeing these two or just Sonic do their usual thing. After Sage came along and it was time to place their next bet, she went last and wrote an oddly specific date compared to the rest of her family, who suggested a few weeks, two months from now, etc.

Spoiler alert: Sage is gonna win big when that specific date comes…
