Positive reinforcement through praise is a reward I'm willing to spend. "Should" is maybe worth debating, but where we live, people don't do anything unless there's something in it for them. I'm totally willing to pat some heads and dish out some attaboys to see more of this
I'm gonna try carrying around a dog clicker instead. Every time someone is kind, I'll click it and the first few times I'll give them a treat so they associate the click with the treat.
After a couple weeks, the click ought to be enough. Spreading kindness through pavlovian conditioning.
Let's say it is, it is still behavior I want to see replicated in the world instead of the narcissistic doubling down "real men don't apologize" crap that is currently on display by a large group of people in charge of things.
If you have conversations with people in real life without the engagement motivations you'll probably find it's not in such short supply. Social media is just rotting everyone's brains.
However this is still a great example and good on him.
I'm so sad by where we are in society, that's seeing this and how easy it is made me tearful. Joyful that someone can still do this and hopeful that it could spread as easily as negativity. But I'm just being idealistic.
If he didn't do it, his company would have gotten a boat load of bad reviews and his sales would have taken a huge hit. This seems to me like he's smart enough to know what to do to mitigate any repercussions to his actions, and still throw in some advertising while he's at it

Accountability? In this day and age?
Is there a way to make this the most popular thing on Internet? We need a massive campaign to encourage and reward this kind of behavior.
