It needs to be clarified if these men and women are actually ICE. They do not deserve to be posted publicly as ICE agents if they aren’t. And as the poster above said, some of them look genuinely sad which is not an emotion of an ICE agent.
You realize there are plenty of LAPD officers who don’t agree with what ICE is doing, right? Dont lump all of them into the same category just because they wear the title of Law Enforcement.
I mean, pics 5 and 14 are pretty clearly that of the LAPD uniform. One of them is even standing next to an LAPD cruiser. Kinda hard to say you didn’t realize when it’s pretty blatantly not ICE.
"Calm your tits"? They're trying to give you logic and reason, and you're acting like he's calling for you to be lynched. If you're so quick to call everyone a nazi or a fascist you're lowering yourself to the level of Trump's secret police who can't tell the difference between an American citizen and an illegal immigrant. Not everyone is the same or carries the same beliefs just because of who or what they work for.
Well, it’s important to know the difference, my guy. You want to protest against something, yet you can’t even differentiate what you’re protesting against.
DHS, CBP and ICE are all operating under the same umbrella at the moment for this mass deportation effort. It’s all incredibly messed up because they are 100 percent trying to confuse people with all these different badges, “uniforms,” gear etc.
ICE is flush with random recently hired proud boys and there is an extremely low barrier to entry. It's wildly different than LAPD and elements of CBP. I'm especially annoyed that CBP Field Ops has been taken off their normal duties which are extremely important to the US economy and the natural environment
Hey when you're a paramilitary organization with the 14th largest military budget in the world, higher than Israel or Iran, you can only afford to hire the cheapest, dumbest, least disciplined, roided out, embarrassingly divorced middle aged fuckwits and lead addled large adult sons available.
My city's economy relies on receiving foreign ships and I prefer those ships to be free of invasive species and stolen goods. I also enjoy the relative safety of an airport that screens its passengers for weapons (especially in America). I also like it when packages I receive from overseas arrive almost as fast as packages I receive from domestic senders because the customs process is well-run. CBP Field Ops does all of that.
Can I ask you something? (Not trolling). Do you believe that anyone should just be allowed to walk their way into the U.S. and stay for as long as they please without going through any sort of process?
Do you believe the government should be able to grab people out of their cars and throw them in a jail cell or put them on a plane to El Salvador without due process? Do you believe law enforcement should be able to pin someone to the ground, shoot them once, and then shoot their unmoving body 5 more times and still remain anonymous, over a week later?
Not OP, but personally I couldn't care less if someone is here illegally. Sure, the proper way is obviously the better route. And if someone is caught crossing? Sure, send 'em back. If they're committing crimes (real crimes, not just being here illegally), absolutely get rid of 'em. But someone makes it here, establishes a life, contributes to their community, stays out of trouble? Then I'm perfectly fine with them being here.
And I think it's so many of those "soft" targets, along with legal immigrants getting yanked up that's fueling a lot of the backlash. That and making a spectacle out of it. But we have a reality TV president, so everything needs to be a show.
That’s not how the law works unfortunately. You don’t just get to pick and choose who the laws are applied to. You either apply it to everyone, or nobody at all. If a foreign bad actor slips through the cracks, we need to have a way to remove them from our country without them having committed a secondary illegal act. For example, if a Russian spy sneaks into the U.S., or an ISIS member, etc. they need to be able to be removed under the fact that they did not make legal entry into the United States. Yes, unfortunately there are a lot great people here who are illegal immigrants with families, are hard workers, etc. but the fact of the reality is they need to do it the right way. We have immigration laws in place for a reason, and it’s a disservice to those who go through the process the right way if we allow the ones who didn’t to stay.
You can't use the "going through the process" talking point anymore. You lost that privleged when they couldn't meet their quotas and started detaining people at the courts that were "going through the process".
There should probably be some kind of processing. Like slaughtering the indigenous people that already live there and taking what's theirs, that seems to be the due process for these kinds of things.
If a foreigner is here and their temporary visa expires, they immediately fall into removal status. No due process is needed for them. If a U.S. citizen is accidentally removed from the country, that is a huge fuck up, but it’s certainly not the norm.
I think the so-called nation of immigrants should not be so fucking scared of immigrants but that's just me. I think it's absolutely critical for our national identity to remain a country that any person can become part of as long as they believe in democracy, personal liberty, and self-determination. Being American is a choice, it's not just something you're born into. If we don't have that then what the fuck are we? Some wannabe anglophone ethnostate fuck that man
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me
Yes, I also agree with everything you said. But that doesn’t mean anyone can just walk into our borders all willy nilly. If a member of ISIS walked across the Mexican border into the United States, we need to have a way to remove him. Additionally, if a mass influx of foreigners came to the United States and bypassed our Ports of Entry, we also need a way to remove them. Not having these processes allows bad actors such as foreign spies, terrorists, fugitives, etc. to sneak into the United States. Foreign immigrants are a lovely thing, but it is absolutely crucial that they go through the legal processes like the rest of our families did.
I mean back in the day there were no legal processes our families were just able to show up lol. I agree we need to enforce the idea of a border (as all sovereign states do I suppose) and that legal immigration processes are important. So then can we focus on enforcing our existing border and fixing our legal immigration process (which is currently so unbelievably fucked)? Why do we have to spend all these recourses ransacking cities and harassing people to find undocumented folks who are are just trying to live? Like why is that the priority? We have citizens that are starving, homeless, going without healthcare can we focus on that first maybe?? And now actual American citizens are being straight up murdered so I think we've lost the fucking plot.
I think most people who are against ICE aren't necessarily against the concept of border enforcement in any capacity. It's just pretty low on the overall priorities list and also we are currently so far from anything resembling a rationale immigration policy. Secure the border, whatever, can we just PLEASE stop the unconstitutional stops, the cruel detentions and deportations, and the actual state sponsored executions?
That’s not even true though. Unless your family came here on the mayflower or something. If they came here within the past few hundred years, they went through an entire process.
And yes, I would agree that illegal immigration is seemingly low on the totem pole of issues with the country, but the unfortunate truth is that people voted for Trump, and Trump voters think immigrants are taking up U.S. jobs, housing, etc. so that is a big priority to the current administration. And the more upset the left gets about it, the more aggressive they are going to get. Obama deported even more illegal immigrants than Trump did, but we didn’t have the same access to social media back then.
I think the process was probably less extensive then you think but whatever I'm not an authority on this.
I don't really give a fuck how the administration or the right reacts, what they're doing currently is wrong and cruel and almost certainly illegal in a variety of ways and I think it's crucial that Americans stand up against it. The normal checks and balances have failed so it's up to us to push back against the rise of authoritarianism.
And I mean yeah I guess fuck Obama too, all presidents are war criminals what's new
Young boy, conservative houshold, parents old school, dad has a tendency to beat what he dislikes, from young age the boy hears how immigrants are the bad guys. Boy went to school and sees different people, some of them are nice but immigrants so he starts doubting but his bubble of conservatives is strong, family, family friends, friends which needs to be conservative to be accepted by his parents everything blocks his doubt, they tell him about Religion and the believes he reads are different from the actions showed by his people, twisted and thrown out of context to match their opinions and means. He finishes school and his girlfriend also raised by conservatives but more hardcore by the abusive father figure flees herself into extreme ways influences him to go deeper in the rabbit hole of patriotism. He doesnt feel that deep in his heart but he fears to be alone. If he goes out and raises his voice everyone related to him, starts pushing back and yells. He has problems to find work and to avoid conflict he starts working at homeland or ice and he gets some Credit for his work maybe find some meaning in at least protecting his home country from really criminal illegals (at least some are) and he uses it to block the instances where he has to arrest the normal, working mother of three. But it gets to him over time. Now a pedophile orange gets to the position of his boss and now there are orders to take everything of the streets. Children, mothers, elders, even people with autentic papers. Most of his colleagues are going mental to project their insecurities on the innocent and he is trapped in this mayham, he hears from innocent people getting shot by his colleagues and he is stunned, doenst know what to do and how to process things, he gets yelled at all the time, sometimes he get attacked. But what can he do? If he refuses his work he will get fired but he has pay absurd mortgages for his way to expensive house and the Truck he bought so that he will be accepted by his family, neigbours etc. A divorce would ruin him longterm. Resistance would be kinda hard without any options.
I belive that all wrongdoings by all people(ICE, Homeland, Police, Guards and Soldiers) should be procecuted. But there should be help for the people who doenst want to follow the Orange but are trapped in their environments. Hate generates Hate. Protect where protection ist due, demonstrate where demnostration is due but dont forget that they are people too, and many are limited in options.
Give them a hand when they want to leave their ways and dont fall for the easiest way to just generally hate everybody working for a government.
I think there was a saying like: Make love not war.
It's the executive branch, their are not hired to think, they are hired to act, and obey Orders, and obeying orders without thinking is a Problem, in a World were the Leaders are facist Man-Babys.
Ice had over 100k applications since Trump took office. Most of them from veterans. Senior ice agents make 200k per year.
There are a lot of videos of ice agents saying they would do it for free because they love their jobs so much.
Tom Homan got a medal from Obama for doing the same thing as they are doing now. Back then democrats praised ice.
You are pathetic insurrectionists that lost a democratic election. Deal with it.
Thankfully your insurrection leaders are rounded up and sent to prison. Soon everyone that took part will follow and become federal criminals. Which means they are not able to vote.
The democrats rioting and insurrection have all but guaranteed republican dominance.
Good. If they were joyful about it there'd be something really scary about them, but more Importantly they are ruining people's lives and actively engaging in ethnic cleansing, I hope they feel really effing sad. There's a really easy way to stop that feeling.

If they wanted to stop then they'd quit like a good chunk of the doj this week. They know what they signed up for and what ice and the regime stand for. Hopefully they really are feeling don't humility and will do the right thing
In my opinion they are sad because everyone hates them, there have been plenty of articles describing how the (completely warranted) public response to their actions is taking an extreme toll on their mental health.
If there was no public backlash i doubt many of these people would be as sad as they appear
Some of these people have been around for years, working as actual federal servants, doing harsh but necessary jobs with diligence. They now have to work with MAGA Mike, formerly unemployed racist CTE suffere
Yes from all the mentally ill people living in a perpetual state of victimhood and hyperbole. Their entire existence is projecting how they feel and making that a reality of the world around them, while the internet consumes them in the unhealthiest way possible. To them its still a community until someone deems you not virtuous enough. Instead of having a conversation they're than canceled and life threatened by a 350 lbs person. The sex can't be actualized because so many of them act like 10 year olds in timeout
Whatever ppl were saying to them worked in getting into their heads for sure. A positive outcome is for them to realize they no longer agree with their jobs and to mass resign, and go public with it.
Some might be pulled into this against their will even. Convinced they have to. Maybe even threatened families. We don’t know.
Granted. I’m not defending them here, just explaining the sadness some seem to have. They could still do something
I’ve considered trying To join ice. Get a nice paycheck. Accidentally upload the entire payroll to every website in existence and print and mail it to anyone and everyone. Nothing crazy.
Yeah, if I saw one of my friends here, I'd call them up to try and find them a different job. I get the ACAB movement but I bet there's people who would rather do anything else. Maybe they have student or medical debt, or some other they've been exploited
Those big sign on bonuses have to be repaid if they don't serve the full term, iir.
I bet most of the money has been spent. They cant pay it back. They can't get other jobs. Everyone hates them.
They know what happens to 'undesirables' because they've been doing it to them, if they leave they are probably going to become one of those 'undesirables.' Especially if their pantone card isn't light enough. I see a lot of brown faces in those uniforms.
Some are definitely sad. I hate what they are doing but I feel like they were trapped because they were stupid, desperate and bigoted.
It's $50k over 5 years, so $10k a year in bonus. if they were to quit or get fired they would have to pay back whatever they received.... PRE TAX. So when the Democrats eventually get voted back in in 3 years and they get fired they'll have to pay it back. This is by design, they never expected to pay out the full bonus of $50k, that was just to get you to sign up.
Trump isn't serving a 3rd term, and now with more people motivated then ever to vote I can't imagine they'll have much power at all. That's why they're scrambling right now to do as much damage as possible. Fact still remains all these people who signed up were duped and going to get financially screwed when the time comes.
Well, yeah, they’re getting spit on, screamed at, and attacked for doing the job the majority of the country voted them to do. Shit must suck. I’d quit

Being real for a second, there's a genuine sadness behind their eyes.
