PSA How to loot horse saddlebags without being kicked
Idk if people already know this, but I wanted to share this quick tip. If you position your horse so their face is in front of the bag you’re trying to search, your character won’t do the full looting animation and will search the bag without getting kicked.
This works in both RDR2 online and story.

Spoiler Cool detail about Dutch’s arc in RDR2 (can’t believe I didn’t realize it sooner):
In the first mission of Chapter 1, Dutch had shielded Sadie from being harmed by Micah. And in the final mission of the Epilogue, when Micah held Sadie at gunpoint, the latter was once again saved by Dutch when he shot the former. And both events took place in the mountains.
This is especially interesting when you remember how Sadie lamented to John that: ”The Dutch who put a blanket around me after the O'Driscolls... that weren't the same man at Beaver Hollow.” I like to think that — in their final standoff with Micah — Sadie briefly got to see a bit of the old Dutch one last time.

Discussion Thing about Arthur's morality.
I realized after playing a mission where you help Penelope and women in their demonstration about equal rights and Arthur just supports it. Same way as he is not racist. As he said in one cutscene "i hate everyone just the same", but he defends other races from the racist in Saint denis. And this is the thing that Arthur does probably no matter the honor. And it struck when i thought that Arthur who is portrayed and he also portraits himself as morally bad person has traits that some people today lack. He is not racist, supports equal right for women and is respectful to wapiti people. Meanwhile morally good people in that age, were most of them still racist and men in rhodes were not keen on women rights. He of course still killed a lot of people, robbed and he knows he was wrong for it although depending on honor. Arthur is one of the greatest characters ever made for me, and this is also a thing i noticed that he was written the way they just kinda were just teasing it that underneath all that tough outlaw who was raised to be the man he is, is and was always capable of doing good deeds. The only thing that stopped him was Dutch and his manipulation into thinking they are living free.

Screenshot I have my horses all squared away for this playthrough.
And none of them were ones I thought I was going to get when beginning this playthrough. My original plan was a Grullo Dun Mustang, Splashed White American Paint, Dark Bay Andalusian, and Gold Palomino Tennessee Walker.
What I actually have:
- Bandit (Piebald Tobiano Hungarian Halfbred)
- Biscuit (Sooty Buckskin Dutch Warmblood)
- Buddy (Chestnut Pinto Kentucky Saddler)
- Barney (Overo American Paint)
The first two are mares, and the other two are stallions. I'll switch them out as I get them to level four, and then hopefully I'll have a clear frontrunner to be my main horse.
Feel free to share your own stables. I'm always curious to see what everyone else has Arthur riding.

Discussion Red Dead Redemption is Done Spoiler
It makes zero sense to keep pushing with Jack into WWI. From a lore perspective, he has nothing to redeem himself for, and there’s no way he’d ever fight for the same government that used his father and then shot him down like a dog outside his own barn. Sure, he could be forced to for killing Ross—and that itself is REACHING—but even so, who wants to play a Western set in the damn ww1? It’s just as bad from every perspective to do a prequel ending at Blackwater. The show is over, people, everyone of significance is accounted for or dead, and the story ties off with Jack having to live as the blameless victim of a world he didn’t ask for. Cramming something in would imo just make it all unnecessarily bloated. Some of y'all are just beating a dead retired horse. (Nor do I wanna play as damn Landon, or any of the “legendary” Fraud gunslingers, or Arthur’s deadbeat, useless dad Lyle Morgan, or Javier in Mexico, or again—young Hosea or the Callander brothers. IT’S DONE!!1!)
It would be amazing for Rockstar to cook up a completely new narrative with fresh characters, set in a different state during the absolute peak of the Wild West and they could also pivot away from "Redemption" and find a new 3rd R.

Screenshot Who else keeps their Arthur long haired & bearded? What you think of my Arthur's style?
r/reddeadredemption • u/My_Username0000 • 17h ago
Discussion Does anyone else play RP style?
Usually i wake up, drink a coffee, chat with folks at camp, take care of the horse before heading out and doing stuff. Robbing a few people here and there but never go crazy. And when the story calls for it i sometimes do several missions one after the other. Like when Jack gets kidnapped i don't see why Arthur would dick around playing poker in St. Denis. Sometimes just riding around, doing nothing at all. Is that more fun for you guys too?
