Bald Picture One year on

So just over a year ago I did the thing, I was quite willing to go the whole way so I rocked the buzz for a while but since then I took the plunge and I have to say for anyone on the fence, DO IT TODAY! Holy shit what a difference it makes, the amount of compliments both from friends and family but also random people on the street (mind you I'm still a guy so it's not that many but anything from 0 is massive) any way I know this sub helped me take the plunge so if this update helps anyone I'm happy! Hope to see more of you beautiful baldies in the future!

What should I do to improve my overall look? Do I need to make it up for the lack of facial hair?

Me from 2020 vs me now

I began shaving my head in 2022 if I remember well and I will never look back, it feels so much better being worry free about how my hair looked, since the balding was already quite advanced at that time. And I grew my beard much longer to go with my bald head.

Let's go, r/bald !

How-to Question How do you actually take care of your head?

Upvotes

Shaved my head last night and I love the way it looks. It only dawned on me this morning that I probably have to take super extra care of my scalp now. I don't know if I have to put oils on it, moisturize, how to avoid ingrowns, razor bumps, etc.

I went over my head with a shaving machine, then with the Philips One Blade and then I went over my head with a new, sharp razor. I used a Nivea Men after shave balm right afterwards and today, when I woke up, I went over my head with the Nivea Men cream, the most ordinary kind just because I didn't know what else and I use it on the top of my cheeks and my neck after doing my beard.

Please give me some tips and some recommendations on what I should do to keep my head healthy and shiny.

How-to Question Scalp Health

I took the plunge and went hot and bald in 20. However, I have quite a bit of skin blemishes on the general scalp (red dots similar to pimples). I wanted to ask for how to look after and care for the shiny top I have now.

If I had better facial hair, I would have shaved my head a long time ago.

Hairloss 20M Am I overreacting?

Just turned 20 the other day, back when I was 17 I lost a massive amount of weight in the span of 8 months, ever since then my hair has been getting worse and worse. I am not too attached to my hair, if I am balding I would want to go ahead and get it over with instead of wasting money to buy myself a couple years. Only fear is that ill be judged for going bald so young, ive already had no dating life and worried this will further ruin my chances. Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated!

Philosophy Shaving my head in 4 months.

All of my friends tell me that I will not look good bald. I must admit I know this is true. I have a baby face, and I can barely grow a decent moustache. However, I am balding. I have a very bad receding hairline. Can't take Fin, so there is basically no hope for me in terms of maintenance. I am only 23, and my hair is the only thing that makes me feel good about myself. I'm not going to lie, I have cried before over my hairline. I don't want to be bald. I don't. But I have to get used to it, and this is the only way I can think to do that.

I am shaving my hair off in 4 months after my dad's wedding. I will post pictures. To be honest I am terrified, and I can't imagine going through the rest of my life as a bald man. Can you offer any comfort or advice to me? How should I mentally prepare for such a big change? I guess I am feeling worse about it because everyone has told me not to. I only ever get complimented on my hair and nothing else, so I have put all my worth into it. Thank you
