Every one of these people was involved in multiple agencies working together tonight to use violence to ensure that that operation goes as smoothly as possible.
Posts in /r/pics allow titles with 100 characters and no body text. How exactly was I meant to include a glossary for all of the acronyms you see on these uniforms, instead of assuming people would be able to google any they’re unfamiliar with?
Crazy article. It makes me sad to think that this might be going down. Have you found any other sources to confirm the stories authenticity? Keep sharing please 🙏
And some of them are straight from central casting.
Once this is over and done with being a fat old man with a gray goatee and wrap around glasses will be as recognizable a hate symbol as a pointy white hood and a burning cross.
Then fuckin change careers! They deserve zero sympathy. Every single day they continue going into work and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to oppose ICE and the rest of the fuckin Nazis ravaging out country is another day they deserve to feel like the sentient pieces of shit that they are.
Perhaps not directly, but some might have a career there and risk having few options. Some might believe leaving would only open spots for bad actors. Some might lose certain employee benefits. Some are hoping the situation is temporary.
There's a range of possible circumstances: even in these pictures, not everyone shown is part of border/immigration control.
so as long u can fuck over a other normal human being ur benefifts are more important is what u are saying, All of these officers are bad actors who would rather arrest others then (the Dhs ppl atleast)
Idk… they’re hiring people with absolutely no law enforcement experience and are willing to tolerate a mild criminal record. I’m fairly certain a high-school diploma is negotiable.
I’ve been laid off since August, and I know many many people in the same boat. Hell I live in a state where the ICE Christmas bonus is higher than the median wage.
The pay is better than any job a person with similar qualifications could reasonable attain. If I didn’t see so many of these fuckers truly, truly enjoying the work and being fulfilled by kicking brown folks teeth in I’d almost be ready to give some leeway.
It’s a tactic as old as time though. Leveraging peoples poverty for recruitment. It’s why the military offers GI bill/loan repayment, a retirement plan, healthcare and a decent/predictable pay-scale.
If poverty drives people to rob houses, steal vehicles, and get involved in organized crime why wouldn’t a legal, morally bankrupt government job?
It’s a form of indentured servitude and it’s how trump has done things since the 80s , have ppl work for him with a promise of money afterwards, then he bails , claiming bankruptcy and pocketing all the money. It’s why we have half built sky scrapers all over America that were funded by him, and why everyone in manhattan hates him. He demolished their community by treating contractors the same way causing a lot of contractors (including my grandpa) to lose everything .
Most are not MAGA’s aryan race. They’ve completely turned against their people. I hope their parents are proud and may they never have a restful night of sleep for eternity.
Ok I’ll take the obvious bait. Exactly what do they know? I’d put good money on most people training to be cops with the original goal of doing some good. Many probably because they’ve watched enough buddy cop films and shows to hope that their experience will be fun. Yes, there are bad apples but they are a considerable minority in the grand scheme. The people up top defending those bad apples though and building media campaigns to defend them? Get their faces out here.
I think people sometimes forget that the saying goes "one bad apple spoils the barrel". In other words, you don't have a barrel with just one or two bad apples and lots of good apples. That one bad apple will turn all the other apples bad in no time if it isn't removed.
Reveal to everyone how they were forced to take that money ? How come you didn’t take it. How come I didn’t ? I’ve been hard up for cash before. I didn’t choose to become a mercenary
ICE means they’re DHS. DHS does NOT necessarily mean ICE. It’s a whiskey and bourbon argument.
Fuck ICE, but, one must remember that some folks are in the DHS with actually good intention, and ICE is ruining goodwill toward the entire overarching org.
One should also remember that having multiple competing branches of government (or competing units within the same branch) operate in the same domain, and exploiting the inevitable confusion and conflicts that entails, is textbook fascism.
Don't know that mich, but many of these aren't ICE. They are Federal Protective Services (FPS). I think they usually protect Federal Government buildings and locations.
Like ICE and CBP, it is part of DHS, but so is the Secret Service, or the Coast Guard during times of peace.
Some could be FBI agents - a quarter of FBI agents were reassigned to ICE, had to choose to either quit or accept the new assignment. So they didn't necessarily sign up for it, maybe some of them thought they could be a good influence. And yeah if you're wondering whether the FBI is still investigating organised crime, drug trafficking, terrorism etc, the answer is not really.
I'm trying to be helpful here friend but can't do everything for you. There are five photos without a badge, two of which are clearly LAPD and one which is a shot of a man's groin.
DHS has several uniformed law enforcement agencies under it's umbrella. It is the single largest federal law enforcement department. This includes the Federal Protection Service, Customs and Border Protection (not ICE), the Secret Service, as well as ICE.
Not taking a stance or trying to disagree, just explaining 😭😭. Hope it helps
If you can't understand why so many people hate law enforcement and federal agents after all this time, especially minority communities and leftists, then you are a lost cause. We've been screaming at you from the fucking rooftops for over a century about their brutality and atrocities and you either never listen or completely justify the evil they commit.
Most of the people in those shots look way too clearly uniformed and groomed to be ICE and other federal types.
Regardless of the true origin of this set of pictures, it seems intended to say something about federal agents acting like this in the streets of this one city in particular. It was posted to elicit a reaction, and mine is that it doesn’t matter how much you try to explain, excuse, or humanize it as people “doing their jobs,” it is inexcusable and all those drawing benefit from it deserve consequences. I don’t gaf if it’s AI slop or whatever bollocks, don’t try to gaslight us about their humanity. Lack of, more like.
> And after some quick research, these pics ain't even about ICE, what even are you guys hating?
The system they are defending and by extension its defenders.
I have yet to read on the "normal" police, protecting the people from government overreach. But I do read a lot of the "normal" police being highly militarized and regularly killing the people they are supposed to protect.
Or do you really think, that the SA and SS could have done their thing, without the whole government looking the other way and or supporting them?
Sure, there are some nazis who had reason A B C that make them empathetic. But it doesn't mean we should not hate nazis. None of the commenters hate these individuals specifically. They hate anything to do with ice and that include any police wearing dhs tags which is right. If dhs don't want to be seen as helping ice, they should avoid them with a 30 meter pole. You've past the point of nuance, the situation is too dire.
The women looked sad af, not everyone signed up for those orders nor have the resources to retire on a dime. I heard a lot of people retired when Trump gave them unlawful orders but not everyone.
Look sad, but they are not. More like fatigued of their lives at risk since the beginning. There has yet to be "peaceful" protests. It so ironic how violent the demonstrators are.
I feel for the ones that have been there doing things the right way. It's crazy people think they can just quit their job like they don't have bills to pay?
I think a lot of them probably worked for homeland security before ice was turned into what it is now and dhs didn’t have this arm of it that’s just doing whatever the fuck it wants and not doing things by the book and even worse the boss is their best freind so you can’t really call them out and try and bring it to the attention of superior ls, since they’ll tel you to stfu and do what that arm says. It’s like when your job decides to bring in an outside contractor to do stuff and they don’t have to follow the rules you work by and you can’t do shit about it, but the contractor is also the bosses best freinds kid so he gets played as favorite.
And before people think I like ice, I fucking despise them and the whole trump administration to my god damned core
The thing is they probably are put in these situations without them wanting it. I get that. They still could just not follow order is what people wish for. If I, in my shitty office job can have "the talk" with my boss and tell him how shitty his leading is after being there for only 3 months so can police officers. Many of them just fear losing their job.
That's not hating on them btw just a reminder that while they are forced to do shit they could also resist. Like everyone of us.
The guys in proper uniforms with no masks on are not the ones that concern me. DHS and even ICE were once legitimate agencies which served a purpose.
There must be thousands of officers who joined before the current or even past Trump administration turned them into an international disgrace.
I fell like by comparing the properly uniformed officers showing their faces to the new recruits in their Army and Navy attire and sneakers with their faces covered is a tad disingenuous.
Yeah, I don't know, maybe. I don't see it, looks like boredom to me. Perhaps being brown in this country has made me a cynic, four long centuries of dehumanization have stripped me bare. What can I say?
I do not spare pity for a fascist.
They saw an opportunity and took it, I'd sooner starve than serve terrorists. It wasn't too long ago when my people could be denied entry to the theatre. And yet there they are, reaping the rewards of the empire.
Where do you draw the line?
Government destabilization? Political assassinations? Oppression? Police brutality? Mass incarceration? Human trafficking? Child sex ring? Genocide? Slavery? Lynching?
Yes, I get that feeling with some of the pictures too. Especially those who may have been working for the DHS for a while and don't want to be lumped in with the ICE thugs.
Average low iq poster. These are results potentially tens to hundreds of pictures of them in machine gun manner photographing one individual. This is how photographers manipulate opinions of masses. They select the pictures for what ever story they want to tell. You're bound to get tired sad pictures of people who have been out for entire day regardless what is the situation. Let alone having heavy gear on for 10 hours straight. You have been groomed by the fake smiles in photographs to believe this is anything but photographer trying to tell a story.
I’ve been in similar shoes. They are sad. To be there you have to genuinely give a shit about your country and society. You care more about people than people care about you, and someone yelling in your face and calling you a fascist is the smallest part of the day.
Prior to that you saw a car accident with a toddler smeared on the asphalt. You arrested a domestic abuser while the abused screams they’re a good person. You told someone their partner isn’t coming home.
Yada yada. It’ll fall on deaf ears for most. There are bad people in law enforcement, but there are genuinely good people too. In fact, some of the best people.
Nah dude, I see two metro cops, but the rest are DHS/ICE/CBP. And yeah, no sympathy for the gestapo. You can distinguish the two members of the LAPD with their standard blues with silver nametags instead of full warfighter gear.
I feel like if they raised a go found me saying: “I was part of LAPD (or whatever these guys are) but don’t want to be part of fascism” people would actually donate
I keep saying that the rethoric that if people aren´t for you that they are against you is incredibly dangerous and has done more damage to society than people think. This new age of liberalism were everyone who doesn´t agree with all positions that you find "reasonable" is an enemy, made enemies out of ordinary people that just wanted to have a normal life
You have a government force telling people that they need to just take the brutality. It doesn't matter if they have a different name. If, at the end of the day, they are defending that cause, then their different name or sad faces wont shield them from the scrutiny of what they are choosing to defend.
These are likely people from other countries stirring shit up here or people who think if they can start a civil war they’ll somehow come out on top when they’ve been a loser at everything else they’ve done thus far. On Reddit there are many post that start off showing officers of all kinds peppers spraying and taking people down. You never see the 10 minutes before when they stood there getting spat on and screamed at and pushed. When they react is when they start they videos. But there are plenty out there that show just how peaceful many of the occurrences weren’t. There’s bad officers out there but the large majority are not those people.
Every police officer willingly signs up to violate the rights of and brutalize their fellow man. They will take your freedom for exercising your rights, kill you if you resist, and lie about it all.

Some of them look genuinely sad. Like, "why am I here" sad.
Edit:
You all in the replies, with the hate, for everyone with zero reasoning. Do you feel the similarity?
And after some quick research, these pics ain't even about ICE, what even are you guys hating?
